What Fio is

Fio is a small, private, two-person app that lets couples in a long-distance relationship stay close — share thoughts, photos, moods, statuses, calendars, and small daily gestures. It's not a social network, not a public platform, not a service to strangers.

Your account

You need to sign in with your email. You are responsible for the emails you connect and for who has access to your email account. If your email account is compromised, whoever controls it can read Fio.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Fio.

Your content

You own everything you put in Fio — photos, messages, journal entries, everything. We store it so the app works, we don't take rights over it, and we don't share it with anyone outside your couple.

You are responsible for the content you upload. Please don't upload anything illegal, or that infringes on someone else's rights.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• Attempt to break into other accounts or couples.
• Use Fio to harass, abuse, or harm anyone — including your partner.
• Upload illegal content (child sexual abuse material, incitement to violence, etc.).
• Try to scrape, reverse-engineer or automate the service in ways that harm it.

If you do, we may suspend or delete your account.

Service

Fio is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it working and your data safe, but we don't promise perfect uptime, and we're not liable for any indirect damages. If Fio disappears one day, you'll be given a way to export your data with at least 30 days' notice.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time — sign in, go to Settings, sign out, and emailhello@fio.socialasking to delete. Or wait — soon a self-serve button is coming.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Disputes are handled by the courts of Toulouse, France.
